"I made all the field recordings myself using high-end, anal retentive, heavy and awkward recording gear," Erskine explains. "I caught a horrible cold getting up at 4:00AM to make this bird recording in a meadow in Door County, Wisconsin." Erskine was inspired to create the guitar part while listening to the bird recording in his studio, and hadn't originally planned to have a track like this on the CD. "It wound up being a great transition from The Search for Earth," he says. "Ahhh, here we've come down to the real Earth."
