Hi Tim,
Shock horror to the world. the Mary Frye story is a fabrication of some radio station in the USA.
I wrote the poem about 45 years ago & always intended it be free of an author's name.
Looking forward to hearing your version.

If you wrote this important poem, you should now stand forward and accept credit as its author. If your intent was to keep it anonymous, that intent has been lost as of the Mary Frye attribution.

If you can provide evidence that you are indeed the author, I will set the record straight. If you can establish such proof, you may be entitled to copyright royalties probably for a very large amount going forward for all the versions now in print, at least in the US.

If you wrote this poem, thousands of people want to learn about you, so please share your story with us. You must understand that you will face skepticism, but that is only natural given the circumstances and I urge you not to let that deter you.

I was able to download "In Every Lovely Thing", it is so beautiful, the instrumentals, Holly's clear angelic voice, I am so touched by this song, I will use it at any family member's funeral, and plan to make it known I want it played at mine (with full credit to you of course). This poem has been so touching since I lost my son and now put to music it soothes my aching soul. Thank you so much for sharing this. Bless you all. Joan George
